Curriculum - Use Options Groups to bulk assign students to teaching classes
Modules > Curriculum > Routines > Bulk Options Group Assignment
A new page Bulk Options Group Assignment has been added to the Curriculum menu, which will enable users to automatically assign students in Options groups to timetabled teaching classes.
Before starting the process, a Timetable model with the Options classes should have been applied.
Firstly, in the Find Options Classes panel, clicking on the magnifying glass reveals the Group Selector popup where users will select:
- The Academic Year.
- One or more Option Setups that have a Timetable Pattern Set as Final for that academic year.
- A Student Membership Start Date - date students to be assigned to the class.
After clicking Find Classes, the classes will be displayed in the panel.
Secondly, in the Find Timetable Classes panel, clicking on the magnifying glass reveals the Group Selector popup with a list of timetabled Teaching Classes.
Note: The total number of Timetable Classes must match the number of Options Classes.
To continue with the bulk assignment of students to timetabled classes clicking Go opens the Bulk Option Group Assignment table where Options Classes can be paired with Timetable Classes. Once completed, users can Accept the pairings individually or click Select All, and then proceed to Apply to add students to the Student Memberships for those teaching classes.
Config > Setup > Roles and Permissions
The Bulk Options Group Assignment option will have to be enabled from the Curriculum module for the appropriate roles.
