What's new on Bromcom

This release covers the changes made to the MyChildAtSchool MIS User Accounts pages to coincide with the new, simplified MCAS parent login and account registration process. The MCAS Login has been changed to enable parents to log into the MCAS online parent portal using an Email Address. Parents will be able to view Student MCAS accounts (from multiple schools) in one place using an Email Address and password.

Modules > MyChildAtSchool > Administration > User Accounts > User Account Maintenance

The following changes have been made to the User Account Maintenance screen to display Email Address.

• Select Contacts, and Select Contacts with... options will now display Last Name, First Name, Status, and the new column Email Address.
• Contacts without an Email Address will appear in red.  

• Clicking on the new Edit Contact Details icon will open the Contact Details popup to make it quicker to add an Email Address, which will enable parents to gain access to their online parent account.

Two new options have been added to the Action dropdown. 

• Send Reset Password Email sends a reset password email to the Contact(s) selected. 
• View Recovery Email Accounts shows all the recovery Email Addresses that are not linked to a Contact, and then allows users to add Email Addresses to Contacts with a click of a button.  

• A new dropdown has been added when selecting Select Contacts With... which displays Contacts with No Email Addresses or No Linked Students.

• When creating a new MCAS account for a parent Send Generate Password Email replaces 'Send Invitation Codes Email'. Clicking on this button will trigger an email to the parent Email Address to create a new password.

Note: This new button will appear in both Auto and Manual mode.
