MCAS - Changes to the MyChildAtSchool parent portal App
This release covers the changes made to the MyChildAtSchool parent portal App to coincide with the new, simplified MCAS parent login and account registration process. The MCAS Login has been changed to enable parents to log into the MCAS parent portal and view Student MCAS accounts (from multiple schools) in one place using an Email Address.
Parent Login
The MCAS parent Login has been changed to enable parents to log into the MCAS parent portal using their Email Address. Existing parent accounts will be able to view multiple Student MCAS accounts in one place using their Email Address and current Password.
Note: Parents will be able to use the Forgot Password link.
Profile
If parents have more than one Profile, a popup will appear for them to select a Profile and continue to the Dashboard. The Login screen will remember the Profile used the next time the parent logs in.
Note: Having multiple Profiles means you use the same Email Address for different users and their corresponding student accounts.
MCAS Dashboard
The new look MCAS Dashboard allows parents to view Student MCAS accounts from multiple schools in one place. All Students linked to a parent account will appear in the dropdown in the Dashboard which will allow parents to toggle between Student accounts.
For a Student attending multiple schools - Homework, Timetable, and Exams will show the data for all schools combined.
Shopping Basket - Now if there are any items in the Shopping Basket when a parent switches to a Student who attends a different school, a message will appear 'Changing school will clear your basket. Do you wish to continue?'
