New Teacher Dashboard

Teacher Dashboard

With the help of Teachers from various Bromcom Schools, we have redesigned the Teacher Dashboard incorporating the new UI for the MIS.

We would like to thank those of you who helped with this.

We have given you the option at School level to allow the Teacher to switch between the Old Lesson Dashboard and the New Teacher Dashboard, using the Toggle button

Once you are comfortable using the New Teacher Dashboard, there is an option to Force Teachers to use the new Teacher Dashboard Interface.

Config > Setup > System Settings

Selecting the Force all users to use new user interface option, will display the new Teacher Dashboard view only.

Selecting the Allow users to switch between new and old user interface, will display a Toggle button in the Header of the Teacher Dashboard, allowing Staff to switch between the new Teacher Dashboard and the old Lesson Dashboard view.

The options within the Teacher Dashboard remain basically the same as before.

The Overview page has been removed and the options that were within it moved to either the Header or Left Hand panel. The Header retains the Class dropdown list and the Projector Mode. The Date Selector has been moved here as has the Notifications which is now called Class Alert, a Sessions box added showing the selected Class or Tutor Group Sessions and a Lesson Panel option added.

When first opened the Landing page will default to the nearest Class and Session on the Timetable or for AM/PM for that Teacher, showing the Student List, which can be viewed in List or Thumbnail View. The Columns to be displayed can be selected from the Add Column dropdown list. Actions can be accessed from the Actions button and a Quick Student Profile displayed by clicking on the Student Name. Behaviour, Send Message, Medical Event and if the Teacher has permission, Safeguarding Incidents can be added using the buttons above the Student Names. The Register for this Class can be taken by clicking the Take Register button.

Note: The options displayed will depend on the Access Permissions the Teacher has and the Modules available within the school.

The Lesson Panel button has two Tabs, Teacher's Panel and Insights, the Teacher's Panel displays a quick view of your Timetable today and an option to Add Lesson Notes and Upload Attachments and Links. The Insights Tab displays the Class Demographics or the Behaviour Event details.

On the Landing page the Left Hand Menu now displays a Student List and Marksheets. The Behaviour and Assignments panels have been replaced with Tabs along the top of each page for easier viewing the Marksheets and Timetable pages remain and the Timetable no longer opens in a new browser tab.

Selecting the Seating Plan option will display the Seating Plan for the selected Class. The Seating Area can be made bigger or smaller by using the Magnifying Glass options. The Random Student, Actions and Student Information options remain and an Edit Plan option has been added.

Note: Seating Plans that are created or Existing Seating Plans that are amended in the new Teacher Dashboard will no longer be available for use in the old Lesson Dashboard. Therefore we recommend you make copies of your existing Seating Plans before amending them in the new Teacher Dashboard.
