What's New
- Identified as a young carer by parent or guardian
- Identified as a young carer by school
- Not declared
No default value is selected, and multiple values can be applied where appropriate.
Once created, the Young Carer flag appears in the User Defined Flags panel and across applicable areas of the MIS.
The Young Carer Indicator is maintained in Students > Student Details when clicking on Edit Student Details.
Where You’ll See the Young Carer Flag
▶ Students > Student Details
The Young Carer flag is displayed on the Student Details panel where applicable.
▶ Students > Student List
Note: Some students may have no value recorded in the Young Carer field. These students can be identified by a blank value in the field. When editing the Young Carer field for these students, the value will default to “Not declared”. You must save the record for this value to be applied and updated.
▶ Reports > Administration > Audit Report
Changes to the Young Carer Indicator are recorded in the Audit Report.

▶ Home > Teacher Dashboard
▶ Groups > Report Group (Dynamic Membership)
Tip: Hold the Control key to multi-select.
Note: Changes to the Young Carer flag in the User Defined Flags page and any changes made to the student's Young Carer Indicator, will be updated automatically in real-time across the MIS.
