Home > Student Data Quality Dashboard
We are excited to introduce the first iteration of the new Student Data Quality dashboard — designed to help users identify, manage, and resolve data quality issues across student records. This release focuses on student personal information and student contacts with a clean, actionable interface.
Pupil / Contacts Panels
These panels displays the count of pupils and contacts with duplicate, missing or invalid information.
- Clicking on a Pupil/Contact label (Duplicate, Missing, or Invalid) will filter the Student Data Quality panel underneath to show only records from that category.
- Users can click Clear Filters to reset the view and show all data.
Student Data Quality Panel
- Displays student information organised under two main headings:
- Personal Information
- Student Name
- Sex
- Tutor Group
- Contacts ('sort order' matches the layout of the Contacts panel in the Student Profile)
- Parental Responsibility
- Contact Name, Phone, & Email
- Search, Export, Columns, & Filters
Use the Search bar to quickly find specific student and contact information.
- Export the current view to Excel with one click – only the data chosen (based on applied filters/search) will be exported.
The Table Config button lets you select which columns to display in the dashboard.
All columns include filter options for easy data refinement. To reset and view all data, click Clear Filters.
- Indicators for Data Issues:
- Duplicate contacts (yellow)
- Missing data (red)
- Invalid data (grey)
Note: Hover over the red cross next to a student's name to see a summary of data issues.
Students > Student Details > Profile
- Double-click on a student’s name in the dashboard, to navigate to the student's Profile page where you will find:
- Student Data Quality alert signals that some data may be missing, duplicate, or invalid data, and to check the Data Quality Panel widget.
- New Data Quality Panel.
- Clicking on a row opens the existing related popup (e.g., clicking Email Missing opens the Contact information popup).
- Once resolved, the issue is removed from the Data Quality Panel.
- Back in the Student Data Quality dashboard, users will be able to refresh the dashboard to display the latest data.
Config > Setup > Roles And Permissions
The Student Data Quality Dashboard option will have to be enabled from the Profile module for the appropriate roles.
