The following new options are available on the Actions dropdown on the Staff List page to allow more efficient communication with staff members within a Trust and associated schools:
Select the required communication action to display the Communication wizard (see graphic below).
Step 1: Select Recipients
The only label available for the Recipient Type is Staff. If staff have already been selected from the staff list, this option is disabled. Use the School Filters radio buttons to select from All Schools, Phases, or School Set. Use the DfE Role Selector dropdown list to select recipients from one or more roles within the staff list, and then click Next.
Step 2: Compose
Select any required templates or dynamic fields, enter the required message text, and then click Next.
Step 3: Message Settings
The following options are available, depending on the selected message type.
Select the required options, and then click Next to proceed.
Step 4: View Recipients
Click Preview to review the recipients for the chosen message type. When ready, click Send to forward the message to all recipients.
The Communication Summary - Staff popup then displays a summary of the recipients, with the option to download this information via the Export as Excel option. Click Close to finish.

Once messages are sent, the Trust Communications Overview page for each school in a Trust displays details of the SMS messages/e-mails in the table on the Communication Summary panel, including a new column for the name of the sender.
