Temporary Dynamic Fields can now be added for use in one-off Messages allowing Student/Staff/Contact items to be used without the need of storing them within the system, by using the Upload CSV option. When a CSV file is uploaded a second dropdown list Temporary Data Items is displayed, use this list to select your temporary Dynamic Fields.
Note: The CSV file must have the UPN for Students or the Staff Code for Staff. Note: The Produce Quick Letters for contacts who do not have an email address function is currently not available with this option, but will be available when the same functionality is added to Quick Letter in a future Release.

An additional option Student Tutor Group has been added to the Dynamic Fields dropdown list.

An additional tick box Produce Quick Letters for contacts who do not have an email address has been added to the Send SMS and Emails page. The tick box will only be displayed when the Message Type selected is Email - Plain Text or Email - HTML.
Note: One Letter per household will be produced if no-one in the household has an email address. Attachments will not be available for Quick Letter. Where contacts are missing email you will be directed to Quick Letter.
When the Message has been sent, if there are any Recipients without an email address the Quick Letter page will be displayed automatically, with the Message ready to send. The options at the bottom have been reduced to three.
A Preview button has also been added allowing an email to be Previewed before it is sent.

A new option Quick Letter has been added to the Actions dropdown list for Students and to the Student Details page. When selecting this option a Template can be selected from the Quick Letter dropdown list. When completed a PDF will be produced which can be saved to the Document section and the content will be displayed in the Communication Log of the Student Details page, published to MCAS and sent to e-mail Recipients where possible. New Templates are added by changing the Quick Letter Templates dropdown to Not Selected and clicking the + icon to the right. Selecting the Preview button will preview the Letter to check then changes can be made made before selecting the Process button.
Note: If sent by email and the Recipient does not have an email address a letter will be produced if the Recipient is from a different household. The email will include an attachment of the letter and the email text will say please see attached letter.

You will need Permission to use the Quick Letter - Manage Templates option. By default the Permission will be given to all users who currently have the Framework, Send New Message Permission.

An additional column Relationship has been added to the Send SMS/Email - Recipients pop-up page.

The option to Amend Student Attendance Marks from the Action dropdown on the Received Messages page, has been enhanced to include all Periods of the Day. The content of the Message is automatically added to the Mark Comments field by default. The first Unmarked or Absent Mark will be highlighted green ready to add the Amended Mark, click to the left of the name to select the whole Day to add a Mark, this will now display green. In the example the Marks have a pink edge, this shows the Mark has already been entered with the Comment and cannot be changed here. However, received Comment Messages can be edited before saving to the Marks selected.
Note: If there is more than one Student associated, they they will be displayed on separate rows if the option in the Student Name column is set to Not Selected.
Note: The Amend Attendance pop-up will open with the current Date to add past Marks change the Date.
